BRADLEY / SAN ARDO, Monterey County — October 29, 2026. Monterey County considered a proposed two-year extension of a previously approved lot-line adjustment involving agricultural lands at 72125 Jolon Road near Bradley and 101 South Highway 191 near San Ardo. The county scheduled the administrative hearing for May 20, 2026, under PLN200176-EXT1 / AP 26-045.
How many parcels are involved?
The prior application covered four legal agricultural parcels measuring approximately 636.8, 211.9, 321.1 and 222.6 acres before the boundary adjustment. The proposed reconfiguration would produce parcels of 519.7, 329, 486.1 and 57.6 acres. It does not create additional legal lots or a new residential subdivision.
What makes the land conservation issue important?
The properties lie within Agricultural Preserve No. 72-1 and a Williamson Act land-conservation contract. Lot-line changes therefore have to be evaluated against the governing agricultural restrictions and the county’s land-use requirements. The requested action was an extension of an earlier permit, not automatic termination of a Williamson Act contract.
Was the extension finalized?
The county’s May 20 listing recommends approval subject to two conditions and a Class 5 environmental exemption for minor changes in land-use limitations. The legislative page is marked agenda ready with no verified final-action field. Under the published administrative process, the decision could proceed without a further hearing absent timely opposition; the final signed decision and recorded documents should be checked before relying on adjusted acreage.
Why Bradley and San Ardo both appear
The county names addresses in both locations as part of this single land-adjustment application. It would be misleading to publish separate articles describing the same case as two independent events. This report is assigned to the Bradley edition while remaining available through the Monterey County newsroom.
